In his younger years, my dad William was a bartender for a while and he created this drink. It never had a name but he said it was similar to a side car. It's pretty darned good.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Even the folks on the Crew who aren't normally fans of brandy totally flipped for this tasty drink. I can't wait to make them again... and I might not be so quick to share this time!

1/2 oz
triple sec
1 oz
half and half cream
1 1/2 tsp
1/2 oz
fresh lemon juice

Directions Step-By-Step

Put the ingredients in a blender with some ice and blend. You can make this recipe as large as you want to serve your friends.

I was so tickled to know people had a great fathers day weekend and enjoyed the drink. I hope you like it as well. Is your sangria recipe posted? I am not into wine so much but I do really like sangria. I will look for it. Let me know what you think. It's going to be hot here again today, so maybe it's another good day for a cold drinks.

WOW...awesome drink recipe and a nice tribute to ur dad...and it makes it very special that it won a blue ribbon and the email feature just in time for Father's Day. I would print the emil feature, the drink pic and blue ribbon and cirtificate, and of course a pic of dad...and arrange them in a frame together. Just a suggestion.
