1Remove thin slices of peel with a vegetable peeler. Squeeze juice from oranges; add water to juice to make 2 cups. In a saucepan combine orange juice, orange peel, and sugar. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 5 minutes. Cool Pour into jar. Stir in rum. Cover with lid. Let stand at room temperature for 3 to 4 weeks. Strain through cheesecloth into bottles; cover.

I know..it was just so interesting to me to find homemade liqueur's that are flavored with fruit or chocolate/creme..it would make a great gift for any occasion. I loved that the Fruit coffee Bread and Spirit Spread go along with these liqueur's, when I found them in an old magazine I knew I should post them, if not for drinking they could be used in so many recipes...I have to try them someday! Should be fun..lol
