Lisa Brooks. I always use DH German Chocolate cake mix to make the dr. pepper cake. The chocolate mix makes it a richer cake. It comes out just fine. Its addictive.

The only yellow cake mix I found has pudding in it already. Do I still use the pudding mix?

I made this and yes you just put the pudding mix in dry. But I added 2 tab spoons of cocoa!! Was very good! Didn't like the glaze so just dusted with powder sugar!

This recipe does not call for enough Dr. Pepper to make it this dark,I am thinking the picture is of a chocolate cake....The Dr. Pepper cake has a pretty golden/brownish color....I made it 3 days ago,it is very moist and delicious....It did not make it past day 2,I am already wanting to make another one ! :)

It's not dark like the picture and the frosting is just a glaze but it's real good. and the pudding you do NOT mix, just put it in the cake mix dry
