- 4 c
- stale firm bread ( i use honey wheat) into 1 inch squaresh
- 3 c
- large eggs
- 1 1/2 c
- 2 tsp
- cinnamon, ground
- 1 1/2 stick
- butter melted
1Pre-heat oven to 350. Lightly butter a 12x8-inch baking dish.
2In a large bowl gently mix the bread and milk. Let stand for 5 minutes.
3In another large bowl mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Gradually stir in melted butter. Add the bread with its milk and the raisins and mix gently. Pour into the prepared dish.
4Bake until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45mins. Cool for 10 minutes Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature
