What is the apple pie spice? Is there a substitute?

I would search for the apple pie spice.. it tastes just like an
apple pie!!!!! fabulous flavor.. you can usually find it on most supermarket spice racks.. especially this time of year.. you'll be glad you have it.

I have read this recipe 3 times and I still can't see what to do with the 1/2 cup of white sugar. Do you put it on the apples, or do you put it in with the brown sugar? I am really looking forward to making this pie!!

white sugar goes in the apples the brown sugar is placed over your pecans so when it cooks they looked like stained glass

I tried this today, because it looked so wonderful. I followed the directions exactly, but my brown sugar burned. I'd like to figure out what went wrong, and try it again. Suggestions? Can I skip the 10 minutes at 450?

you made sure that you cooked it exactly 10 mins at 450 the 350 can be 30 to 45 depends on your oven and the sugar has got to be spread even
