Strawberry Parfait Pie

- package strawberry flavored gelatin
- 1 pt
- vanilla ice cream
- 1 c
- sliced fresh strawberries
- 9 inch baked pastry shell, cooled
- 1 1/2 c
- boiling water
1Dissolve gelatin in 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
Add ice cream by spoonfuls; stir till melted.
2Chill till mixture mounds slightly when dropped from spoon.
Gently fold in sliced strawberries.
3Turn into pastry shell.
Chill till firm.
If desired, trim with whipped cream and extra strawberries.
