Either buy a prepared 9 inch graham cracker crust, or you can make your own. When I make my own, I bake it at 350* for 7 minutes. Cool completely.
Next mix the water, jello & pudding mix in a small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until it becomes thick, stirring constantly. Let cool.
While the sauce is cooling, make the cream cheese mixture. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip until fluffy. Spread over cooled crust.
Place the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture, covering completely.
Pour the cooled sauce over entire top of the strawberries. Refrigerate until sauce is set, about 2 hrs. Top each slice with whipped cream or whipped topping if desired.
Note: this recipe works well following the same steps only using peaches and peach flavored jello.
