This is one of my wife's cherished family recipe, handed down for 100 years.
Many times when we have made this the filling never made it to the pie crust! We ate it as a pudding.

Ingredients

2 c
sour cream
1 c
raisins
1 c
sugar
2
eggs, beaten

pie shell, unbaked

WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING

1 c
heavy cream
1/2 tsp
almond extract
2 Tbsp
confectioners' sugar
1/2 c
sour cream

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook sour cream, raisins, and sugar over low heat until golden (about 20 minutes)
Add beaten eggs and cook one minute longer.
Pour into unbaked pie shell, and bake in 350 F oven for 30 minutes.

Topping:
Whip the cream, extract, and sugar until very thick.
Fold 1/2 cup sour cream into whipped cream mixture. Spoon over pie filling.

Tip: May also top with grated lemon peel.
