I 've had this recipe to make pie crust for a life time. I love to make my own pie's. So, at Holiday time.. It so great to make any fruit and cream pie. It has a light fluffy texture. My family loves the pies.. And I hope it wiil be a treat to your family too.
Small bowl: Add, 1/3 c. of swift flour and 1/4 c. cold water. Then make it into a paste.. Set aside.
Medium Bowl: At the remainder of swift flour. Then put the salt and blend. Add, the shortening and make small pieces into the flour , salt mixture. Next, add the paste mixture , until it forms into a ball.. Don't over mead. Roll out into 9 in pie plate to bake.. 425 for 8-10 minutes. Note: prick the pasty with a fork , so you don't get bubbles.
