Begin by melting the butter- Do Not Burn! While it is still hot, put in small mixing bowl and add syrup and sugar.
Mix with a wire whip until smooth (until sugar had dissolved).
Add the eggs and vanilla and whip for about two minutes
Pour this mixture into the pie shell and top with pecan halves
Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
Cool in refrigerator before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
