This recipe was given to me by the Postmistress of Niland, Cal. I have never tried it but she said it was her favorite.

Ingredients

1 c
pecans halves or chopped coarsely
3
eggs
1/2 c
sugar you can use white or brown
1 c
light or dark corn syrup
1/8 tsp
salt
1/4 c
melted butter
1 tsp
vanilla

Directions Step-By-Step

Prepare a pie with 1 bottom crust

Beat eggs, add the sugar and syrup mix well then add salt and vanilla and last the melted butter or margarine.

Place the pecans in the bottom of the unbaked pie crust. Pour in the filling and bake at 350* for 50-60 min. The nuts rise to the top of the filling and form a crusted layer.
