Donna's StoryThis is from "Home Cooking with Dave's Mom" pg. 166-167.
Dave's Mom writes: "I concocted this recipe by taking the best ingredients and suggestions from three differnt sugar cream pie recipes. I've had it for years and the whole family likes it."
8" unbaked pie shell
packed brown sugar
freshly grated nutmeg
1In a small bowl mix sugars, flour & salt.
Gradually stir in heavy cream.
2Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
3Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees, bake for 20-25 minutes longer.
4NOTE: Center of pie will be slightly runny when done.

Never had a sugar cream pie. May have to try this out of curiosity. Have you made this before Donna? What's it like?

Actually, not yet... I posted it for someone who was looking for that specific recipe from that specific book... she couldn't find her copy. One of these days I may get around to trying it. :)
