My Grandmother said that her mother would make this for her and 12 brothers and sisters. They didn't have alot and she made this when the family wanted apple pie but didn't have apples. She made it for me and it taste like apple pie. I hope you think so too.

any pie crust recipe enough for bottom and top crust

butter or margarine

apple cider vinegar
1/2 c
1/2 c
brown sugar
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp

Directions Step-By-Step

Roll out dough made from your favorite pie crust recipe into a large circle. Sprinkle both sugars and spices on top of rolled out dough. Cut butter in pieces on top of dough and sugars. Roll dough up as if making cinnamon rolls or a jelly roll. Place in a greased pie pan. Pour apple cider vinegar on top of rolled up dough and let sit for 5 to 6 minutes. Cut a few more pieces of butter on top and also sprinkle some sugar on top also. Let bake about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Please test for doneness.

I definitely will try this, my family makes butter rolls but they never added cider vinegar to them. And they use a totally different technique.

I've been looking for butter roll recipe for years
My grandmother use to make them and they would make their own sauce as they baked
But this one sounds great also
I'll have to try
