My Holloween Pumpkin (Dudes) Pumpkin Pie

I bought a small pumpkin named Dude and he had the cutest smile. After holloween I didn't want to throw him out so decided to give him a bath, clean him out and peel and cube him (which he agreed on) then cooked and pureed him and made him into two pumpkin pies. He was a happy little guy as knew he was going to be loved. He was shared with several people and they all praised him. I hope you enjoy his pie.

Ingredients

eggs my pumpkin was a little moist so added and extra egg
2 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
3 tsp
pumpkin pie spice
3- 2/3 c
fresh pumpkin (not canned)
2 c
canned milk

THIS RECIPE IS MY MOTHERS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1 EXTRA EGG AND THE FRESH PUMPKIN

Directions Step-By-Step

Make two single pie crusts and set aside
Start Oven at 450*

Prepair filling:
Mix all of the ingredients together and make sure mixed well
Pour into prepared pie crusts and put into oven

Bake on 450* until crust light brown, turn oven down to 350* and cook until a knife inserted in the center of pie comes out clean. Remove and cool
Remember where there is eggs in the pie you need to keep them refrigerated.
Serve with cool whip or whipped cream and enjoy.
