Ingredients

12 medium
apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 1/2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1/2 c
white sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 tsp
apple pie spice
1 tsp
allspice, ground
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 stick
butter, cut into cubes
1
double pie crusts, for top and bottom of pie
mixture of cinnamon/sugar to sprinkle on top of pie

Step-By-Step

1Preheat your oven to 350. In a large bowl prep your apples and then pour lemon juice over them. I mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl and with a pastry blender I blend the mixture until butter is mixed in well.
2Pour this mixture in to your apples and blend well. Pour and pack the apples into a pie crust lined 9 inch pie plate. Place 2nd pie crust over apples and make slits in the crust to let steam release while cooking. Sprinkle a little cinnamon/sugar mixture over top crust.(optional)
3Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until golden and apples tender. Remove and let it rest to cool, then enjoy.
