7 csliced peeled tart apples

1 tsplemon juice

1 tspvanilla extract

1/4 cfinely chopped pecans

1/4 cpacked brown sugar

2 Tbspsugar

4 1/2 tspground cinnamon

1 Tbspcornstarch

1unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
- FOR THE TOPPING

2 Tbspall-purpose flour
-
2 Tbspsugar
-
2 Tbspcold butter
-
1/4 cfinely chopped pecans

1/ ccaramel ice cream topping, room temperature
How To Make makeover caramel-pecan apple pie

1In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice and vanilla. Combine the pecans, sugars, cinnamon and cornstarch; add to apple mixture and toss to coat. Pour into pastry shell.

2In a small bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over filling.

3Bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is browned. Immediately drizzle with caramel topping. Cool on a wire rack.
