Elizabeth's notes for this recipe:
My grandmother makes this pie every year from her garden fresh green tomatoes. Each year before it freeze's. she goes out and picks all the green tomatoes left on the vines, and slices them up and makes several green tomato pies, and freezes them, she all year long she can enjoy green tomato pie with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream.
This pie is my late fathers and my favorite pie in the whole world.

OK Gaynel and Elizabeth, all I've ever heard of were 'Fried Green Tomatoes'. I'm saving the Green Tomato Pie recipe for later this Summer when I can harvest them from my garden. But, 'Green Tomato Relish' is new to me. May I have that recipe too? I've already been planning my garden for this Summer - now I see that I must add at least 1 to 2 more rows of Tomato Plants. It all sounds so delicious! LOL :-)

I will have to look up the green tomato relish recipe. I have my grandmothers recipe and it is called "chow Chow" I think...on my agenda for tomorrow...
