Favorite Pumpkin Pie

I love making my pumpkin pies with fresh, cooked pumpkin, but you can also cook and freeze your pumpkin ahead of time.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
cooked pumpkin
1 c
packed, light brown sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1 tsp
ginger
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/4 tsp
allspice, ground
2 Tbsp
molasses
1/2 tsp
salt
3
eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c
milk, whole
1/2 c
heavy cream
1
9 inch, unbaked pie shell

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

2Combine together cooked pumpkin, light brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, molasses and salt and mix well.

3Mix the lightly beaten eggs, milk and cream together. Add to the pumpkin mixture, stirring well.

4Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and bake at 425 degrees F. for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 375 degrees F. and bake for 40 - 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
