1/3 cbutter, softened

1/3 csugar

1 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1/8 tspground cinnamon

1 pkg(8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

1/4 csugar

1egg
-
1 1/2 tspvanilla extract
- FOR THE TOPPING

4 cthinly sliced peeled tart apples (about 4 medium)

1/3 csugar

3/4 tspground cinnamon
How To Make creamy bavarian apple tart

1Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, vanilla and cinnamon. Press onto bottom and 1 in. up sides of a greased 9-in. springform pan.

2In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla just until combined. Pour into crust.

3In another bowl, toss apples, sugar and cinnamon; arrange over filling. Bake 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate leftovers.
