This recipe turned out really well as far as flavor, but I did and still am struggling with the ingredients list. I don't know if its just here in MI or what but our stores do not carry a 4 oz pkg. of pudding mix or jello mix....So I bought the bigger boxes of each just to be safe, and ended up with enough filling for 2 pies??? Which is great if you have a function to attend or something, but if youre not planning on and dont need 2 pies what then? I tried to use the smaller boxes of each and the filling tasted more like an orange cheesecake and wasnt so great, so Im still trying to figure this one out.

read your comment Shelli, you can always freeze one. or give one to an older couple who can't make things as they used to do. I have a neighbor who is in her 80's and when I bake bread or such I make a mini loaf to take to her. just an idea :)

Hello Saratoga! I left Glenville (almost next door) about 15 years ago to escape the winters. It is great here in Las Cruces, NM but I still would like to come back for a visit sometime. Lovely area. My husband and I visited Mrs. London's home in Washington County to buy bread often. We got Bullard's Orchard apples, visited Will Moses home and even got to talk with him as he was picking up firewood to take inside. I am definitely going to make this pie, sure we will love it. Thank you!

@shelli brown I to love in Michigan and I don't know where your shopping but I have no problem finding the smaller boxes called for in this recipe maybe the store u shop at just don't carry the smaller boxes. Definitely going to try this recipe tho.
