Ingredients For cool chocolate cream pie

  • 8 inch baked pastry shell or crumb crust
  • 1/3 c
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    chocolate flavored syrup
  • 2
    egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • sweetened whipped cream (optional)

How To Make cool chocolate cream pie

    Bake pastry shell or crumb crust; set aside. Combine cornstarch, salt, milk, syrup, and egg yolks, in medium microproof bowl. Microwave on medium high (2/3 power) for 6-8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes with wire whisk, until mixture is smooth and thickened. Stir in vanilla.

    Pour into cooled shell or crust; press plastic wrap onto surface. Chill several hours or overnight. Garnish with sweetened whipped cream.
