Ingredients

BEST EVER PECAN PIE
1/2 c melted butter
1 c light brown sugar
1 c light karo syrup
pinch salt
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c coarsely chopped pecans
Pinched by sprince, and 604 more.
Lightly Salted

This recipe came from a friend of mine, a Pastor's wife from Georgia. Have not found a pecan pie recipe I like better! Great pie for the holidays!

 

Directions

Melt butter and add 1 cup brown sugar, stirring well.

Add white Karo syrup and a pinch of salt, blending well.

Add four lightly beaten eggs and mix together well.

Pour into unbaked pie crust, add pecans on top of pie filling, and bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

You should add that step into the recipe. Adding the pecans on top of the filling. I assumed so, but it would look better. I'm going to try this recipe.

I want to make 'small' individual pecan pies... my husband loves pecan pie, but will only eat one slice, ever so often... so ... if I make several tart sized pies, I can freeze them and have them on hand... ya just never know when they will say.. Boy, I'd sure enjoy a piece of pecan pie, in between those typical fall holidays... ha haha....

Do not over mix after adding eggs. Add the pecans and stir in they will come to the top while baking. I will post my recipe if anyone wants it...similar.

My fair winning recipe is much like this with the exception of my using 1/2 cup DARK and 1/2 cup LIGHT Karo syrup and only 3 eggs.
