1 (21-oz.) can apple pie filling
1 duncan hines spice cake mix
1 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup of walnuts

I like to call this cake an "All American Comfy Cake" delicious!

This cake has been around for many years and served in many homes I am sure....but a cake worth sharing time and time again.

I thought it was so good that I submitted it into our church cookbook.

Make it Your Way...

Personalize This


Preheat oven to 350.
Pour pie filling into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Sprinkle cake dry mix over pie filling.
Pour melted butter over top of cake mix.
Top with nuts.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Serve with a dollop of cool whip or scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Yummy!

Years ago at camp we made a dump cake in a dutch oven on the fire, I have occasionally thought of it and wanted to make one again. Definitely saving this so I can make one again!
