Ingredients

5 large
pears, peeled and sliced
2 Tbsp
butter, room temperature
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 can(s)
apple pie filling
1/4 tsp
salt

PIE CRUST

2 1/4 c
flour
1/2 c
butter, melted
1/2 c
canola oil
6 Tbsp
ice water
1/2 tsp
salt

REFRIGERATE PIE CRUST DOUGH FOR 1 HOUR BEFORE YOU ROLL IT OUT!

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Peel and slice pears to desired size.
2
Melt butter in a frying pan. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and salt. Cook the pears for a few minutes, and then add a can of Apple Pie filling. Simmer until hot and desired consistency.
3
Pour into prepared pie pan. Cover apples and pears with the second pie crust. Poke holes in top of pie crust. I like to make hearts!
4
Bake in a 400 degree oven for approximately 40 minutes or less depending on how brown you like your crust! We like ours browned and crispy!
