1/2 c
sugar
4 c
apples, peeled and chopped
1 Tbsp
flour
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 dash(es)
nutmeg
1/8 tsp
salt
3 c
mincemeat
1/2 c
walnuts, chopped
2 Tbsp
butter

9-inch pie crust, enough for a double crust

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt in a bowl.
Add apples, Mix lightly. Add mincemeat and walnuts; mix well.

Heap into pastry lined 9 inch pie pan, dot with butter. Adjust top crust, flite edges, and cut vents.

Brush top crust with milk, sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in a 425F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until crust is browned and apples are tender.
Cool on rack
