apples, granny smith peeled, cored, and sliced
butter flavor shortening
Peel, core, and slice apples. Splash with lemon juice.
Add cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and corn starch and set aside.
Mix flour and salt. Cut shortening into flour and add water until a soft dough takes form. Set in refrigerator for half hour.
Mix four, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly.
Roll out dough to fit into an 8x11 casserole dish. Trim edges.
Pour in apple filling and top with crumb mixture. Bake in a 350' oven for 1 hour or until juice are bubbling.
