Ingredients

first layer:
1 c
flour
1 stick
butter, melted

chopped nuts
2 Tbsp
sugar
second layer:
8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1 c
powdered sugar
third layer:
2 box
instant chocolate pudding, small
3 c
milk
fourth layer:
8 oz
cool whip
chopped nuts (optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix and spread first layer in cake pan. I use an 8x10 pan, but will also work in 13x9 pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool. Mix and spread second layer over baked first layer. Mix third layer well and spread over second layer. Top with Cool Whip, and chopped nuts (optional). Refrigerate several hours before serving.

    We've made this for years and it's still one of my favorites, only we call it, "The next best thing to Robert Redford!" I guess times have changed and now it would be, "The next best thing to George Clooney!" Everyone raves over it. It is addicting.
