Supreme Turtle Cheesecake

This cheesecake was an accident. I was using a cheesecake recipe that called for cocktail nuts and I made it and wasn't crazy about it, nor were my guinea pig friends. But when I changed it to pecans, it was a wild success.

Ingredients

CRUST

2 c
graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c
chopped pecans
6 Tbsp
melted butter
1/4 c
sugar

FILLING

4 pkg
cream cheese softened (8 oz pkg)
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
sugar
1 c
sour cream
4
eggs
1/2 c
caramel ice cream topping
1/2 c
pecans, halved

Step-By-Step

1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
2Spray 13x9 springform pan with non-stick spray
3Combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter, 1/4 cup sugar and nuts. Press into bottom of pan and up sides.
4Bake for 10 minutes,set aside.
5Beat cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla with mixer until blended.
6Add sour cream, mix well.
7Add eggs, one at a time, beating on low after each one until just blended.
8Pour over crust
9Bake for 40 to 60 minutes or until center is almost set.
10Cool completely. Refrigerate over night
11Top with caramel topping
12Decorate with pecan halves as desired.
