Crumble half of the baked cake in bottom of large glass bowl. This looks really special in a punch bowl. Add half of the can of cherry pie filling, half of the can of crushed pineapple, 1 banana (cut into slices), one container of Cool Whip, and half of the almonds.
Repeat this with remaining ingredients.
Cover and store in refrigerator. This tastes better if done several hours in advance or overnight as it gives the flavors a chance to blend.
