This was given to me 30 years ago and is very simple to make.

Ingredients

1/2 c
brown sugar
1/3 c
corn syrup, light
1
egg; beaten
1 1/2 tsp
vinegar
1/8 tsp
nutmeg
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
raisins
2/3 c
oil
2 Tbsp
oil
2 c
flour
1 tsp
salt
4 Tbsp
cold water; more if needed

Step-By-Step

1Two crust pie pastry; Cut in oil into flour and salt using pastry blender of crisscrossing 2 knives until dough is crumbled.
2Sprinkle dough with cold water 1 tablespoon at a time.Toss with fork till all flour is moistened.
3Roll into a ball. Roll out on floured table or board.Cut size to fit tart shell pan or cupcake pan.Can use glass the size to fit.
4Put dough into tart shell pan or cupcake pan. Form it to fit.
5Mix first six ingredients. Fold in raisins.
6Fill tart shell or cupcake pan 3/4 full with filling
7Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce to 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
