This a Cape Verdean fry bread made of corn flour. Its more like a fried pastry, somewhat like a donut, firm and sweet in flavor.

2Once the mixture comes to a boil add the cornmeal stir until it comes together and then add the flour.
4Let mixture cool and will rise some from the baking powder. Once it has cooled take pieces of dough and roll them into small finger sized logs, on a floured surface.
