I make these for Easter. This year I used the peeps for the first time. The kids loved them!

1 box
yellow cake mix
1 pkg
sugar gum drops
butter cream icing

Directions Step-By-Step

Prepare cupcakes as directed. Cool.
Frost cupcakes with white icing, sprinkle bottom 1/2 with green sprinkles.
To prepare gumdrop flowers, have ready a small cutting board, rolling pin and granulated sugar. Take gumdrop and flatten with thumb and forefinger. Sprinkle sugar on board, and roll out, keeping a round shape, turning over, adding sugar to board as you roll. Roll thinly. Make flowers by rolling into a cone shape, put silver draggie or different colored gumrop ball in center...looking like a calla lily. Or, cut wedges into center of circle and curl them to look like petals. Roll out green and cut into strips and leaf shapes. Play with it! Create your own flowers!
Place on the frosted cupcakes with green gumdrop leaves.
Peeps: Cut each Peep in half longwise and place cut side down on frosting, place flowers and leaves around Peep.
