Ingredients For salted caramel sauce

1 csugar

1/4 cwater
-
3/4 cheavy cream, cold

1/2 stickbutter, unsalted

1 tspsea salt, coarse
How To Make salted caramel sauce

1In a medium pot, combine sugar & water over low heat, cook, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves, 10 minutes.

2Increase heat & bring to boil, without stirring. Boil until syrup is deep amber, 8 minutes.

3Remove syrup from heat; slowly whisk in cream. (MIXTURE WILL BUBBLE UP - BE CAREFUL!)

4Stir in butter & salt. Transfer to a bowl to cool (sauce will thicken up as it cools.

5Reheat before serving over ice cream or cakes, etc.
