- brandy (~3 cups)

- boiling water
- vanilla bean, sliced lengthwise
- 2 oz
- jar of yuban instant coffee (1 cup)
1Dissolve instant coffee in hot water. Turn to very low heat.
2After coffee is completely dissolved add sugar and stir until clear. Take mixture off heat.
3When pot is cool to touch, add brandy and stir to distribute.
4Pour into sterilized canning jars or decorative food safe bottles containing half, (or slices of half of the vanilla bean.)
5Seal, label and age 3 mo. (Use as appertif, over vanilla ice cream, as flavorful additions to cakes/candies, etc.
