Aunt Jeanne's Hot Fudge Sauce

this is my mom's personal recipe and is ne of the most popular in her files.

1 stick
butter do not use margarine
4 oz
bakers chocolate squares
3 1/4 c
13 oz
evaporated milk

Directions Step-By-Step

In top of double boiler over hot water, melt butter and chocolate. Gradually add sugar and *half* the milk alternately Stir well after each addition Add remaining milk, stirrring constantly Cook until mixture is thick and sugar is dissolved. Do not over stir (chocolate will lose its gloss)

Store in a glass jar only. Do not put lid on until completely cooled.
