Christal's Notes:
This is one of those wonderful desserts that you always fix to go to family dinners or make for showers. I sometimes mix other fruits in with the strawberries or just use something different like fresh blueberries, peaches, raspberries and even have used Kiwi slices on the top for color. Toasted pecans are good as well, but I put them in a bowl on the side and let people add if they want them. Enjoy!

Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese and sugar; add sour cream, vanilla and almond extract. Set aside.
In a small, deep bowl, whip the cream, vanilla and sugar.
Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Add 1/2 of the cake pieces; set aside.
Combine strawberries, sugar and almond extract.
Layer together in large glass bowl, starting with strawberries, then adding cake mixture.

Continue layering; finish with strawberries. Cover with plastic wrap; chill well.

When do you add the last half of cake pieces that were not added to cream mixture?

I always put a couple spoonfuls on the bottom of the bowl then 1/2 of the cake pieces and then layer the cream mixture over the cake and then anohter layer of cake and then the last of the cream mix. Depends on how you cut your cake pieces or if you slice, tear or chunk them:)
