1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2/3 c all purpose flour
2/3 c quick cooking oats
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter, softened or margarine

PREHEAT OVEN AT 375 F
BUTTER DISH I PREFER 13 BY 9

FRUIT MIXTURE
PEEL AND CORE APPLES, CUT IN 1/4 INCH PIECES OR SLICES MIX WITH 1/3 TO 1/2 A CUP OF BROWN SUGAR TO YOUR PREFERENCE AND SPRINKLE WITH 1 TABLESPOON OF LEMON JUICE OR TO YOUR PREFERENCE POUR AND SPREAD ON BOTTOM OF DISH.

TOPPING: MIX, FLOUR, OATMEAL, BROWN SUGAR,CINNAMON,NUTMEG,SALT CUT BUTTER IN PIECES AND CUT INTO DRY MIXTURE UNTIL CRUMBLY! HINT:I PREFER USING MY HANDS. WHEN CRUMBLY SPRINKLE EVENLY OVER APPLE MIXTURE.

How long do you cook this for? I did not see the time in your instructions. It sounds very good Suzanne.

20 to 30 minutes it is included in the ad. Hope you enjoy it its delicious warm or cold. Just right when that sweet tooth acts up lol.HAVE A NICE DAY..

Thanks Suzanne. Hoffman Super Sharp Cheddar or Herkimer White Cheddar are two of my favorite cheddars. Sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion. Looking at your, my husband requested one for Father's Day instead of a pie, and I made one with Splenda. He loved it, but I will definately try your recipe also. Dan's Father's Day Apple Crisp Thanks again, seems like there were a lot of Apple Pies and Crisps made on yesterday.
