Kristen's Notes:

My mom came up with this one by combining two recipes from different books. She came out with a family favorite! There are never any leftovers!

Directions

1
Combine all crust ingredients and spread about 2/3 of the mixture on the bottom of a baking dish.
2
For filling: in a sauce pan combine sugar, flour, salt and cherry juice. Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, plus one additional minute. Mix in butter, extract and peaches. Pour over crust.
3
Sprinkle remaining crust mixture over fruit filling.
4
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until bubbly and browned.

I tried Paula Deen's and it was heavenly. I will try this one and let you know how I do with it. I think the marachino juice would give it another flavor. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Thanks Nohra! I would love to know what you think of this one. We love it, but it is nice to get ideas from others and make new recipes from old ones.
