In a medium bowl, beat together Ricotta cheese, cream cheese, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and 1/2 cup sugar. Whisk in melted butter, 3 eggs and milk. Mix until smooth. Spread 1/3 batter in the bottom of baking pan. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly over top.
Spread the remaining batter over the cheese layer. Bake for 1-1/2 hours or until set. Cut into squares and serve with pie filling spooned over top.
