easy apple wraps w/ orange sauce

- granny smith apples, cored, peeld, quartered

- light cool whip or homemade whipped cream
1Heat oven to 350. Lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish w/ cooking spray In small saucepan, combine orange peel, orange juice, butter, sugar and cinnamon sticks.
2Cook over medium heat until it just starts to boil. Pour into baking dish. Unroll crescent dough onto lightly floured surface.
3Separate dough into triangles. Wrap each apple quarter in a triangle piece. Place, in a single layer into baking dish. Spoon some sauce over dough. Bake 35 mins, or until golden. Spoon sauce over dough again 1/2 way through cooking time. Serve w/ cool whip.
