Do I not add water or syrup? Just started this but looks a little dry?

just curious...how many does this feed? I was thinking of making it for a potluck at work and was wandering if I need to double the recipe, and how much it will change the cooking time.

I made this this past weekend for my mother in law's birthday dinner, and it was FANTASTIC! She loved it! We served it with some vanilla bean ice cream and ....let's just say that no one said a word during dessert because we were too busy eating it! :) thanks so much for sharing your recipe!

Does the butter need to cover all of the cake mix? Or is it okay if some of it is still dry?

Sounds delicious! What size cooker are you using? Has anyone tried this in a 4 quart slow cooker?
Thanks!
