This can be found on the internet. My cousin had the recipe but didn't bake and she wanted it for her birthday. I made it and now it's my go-to dessert. It's good served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter
1 c
flour
1 c
sugar
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
2% milk
2 c
fresh, frozen (thawed) or canned fruit (drained)
3/4 to 1 c
sugar (for sweetening the fruit)

Step-By-Step

1For Crust: Melt butter in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or a 8x8x2-inch baking dish in the oven. Remove and set aside. In a small bowl mix together the flour, sugar and baking powder, add the milk and mix well. Spoon mixture over the melted butter in pie plate; set aside.
2For Fruit Filling: In a small saucepan, mix sugar and fruit and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and spoon over the dough mixture. Don't just dump it in the middle, make sure to spread it around.
3Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
Serve topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of sweetened whipped cream, if desired.
