whisky, red-hot cinnamon
brown sugar, lightly packed
Pour whisky over raisins; let soak.
Peel, core, and cut apples in eigths. Place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle brown sugar and apple pie spice over apple mixture; mix well so apples are well coated.
Pour whisky and raisins over apple mixture. Mix well.
Cut butter into bits. Sprinkle randomly over apple mixture. Cover.
Bake for about 20 minutes (apples should be soft).
Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
