Blackberry Cobbler

4 c fresh blackberries
1/4 c butter, room temperature
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c milk
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 c water
1 Tbsp corn starch

Preheat oven 350'
Spray 8x8 inch with Crisco pan release
Line pan with berries sprinkle with corn starch
Make batter using butter,1/2cup sugar,milk,
flour,baking powder,salt,and vanilla
Pour Batter over fruit and spread evenly
Mix the remaining 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water
Pour over batter and bake 1 hour
Serve with whip Cream or Ice Cream

Sounds wonderful and easy to make, I have alot of blueberries and cranberries, bet I could use either with this recipe! Thanks for posting!

I have used blueberries and raspberies with the black berries. This year I am loaded with blackberries and they are the size I have been jealous of at our farm and home show.

Blackberry cobbler is my all time favorite. i sure do miss my grandmothers cobblers, she made the best. none like we make today.. i will be trying yours soon. we were loaded with blue-berries this year again. i cant pick them all. next year i will post a sign. free if u pick.
