Ingredients

1 1/4 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
corn starch
1 - 12 oz
package, cranberries
3 1/2 c
granny smith apples, peeled and chopped ( about 3 med - large apples)

TOPPING

1/2 c
packed brown sugar
1 c
oatmeal
1/2 c
chopped pecans
1/2 c
flour
5 1/2 Tbsp
cold butter
pich
cinnamon - optional

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Grease a 2 quart baking dish, it worked out great in my oval dish with sides about 2 inches high.

Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a large bowl, toss with the apples and cranberries.
2Spread the cranberry mixture evenly into the dish, making sure sugar mixture is equally distributed over fruit.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, pecans, cinnamon and oats. Using a pastry blender, cut the butter in until crumbly mixture is formed.

Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the fruit.
3Place in oven and bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until golden and bubbly and apples are tender.
4Serve warm with ice cream.

Delicious!
