Ingredients

crust
2 c
all purpose flour
6 Tbsp
shortening
2 Tbsp
butter
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
sugar
1/3 c
ice water

FILLING

1 c
sugar
1 1/4 c
dark corn syrup
4
eggs
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla
2 c
chopped pecans
1/4 c
butter

Directions Step-By-Step

PIE CRUST
Mix all ingredients together form in a ball. Roll ball out onto a floured surface and place into a 9 inch pie pan.

PIE FILLING
In sauce pan on low heat, cook sugar and corn syrup for about 2 min. take off heat in stir in butter set aside.

In large bowl beat eggs and add vanilla. Slowly pour the sugar mixture into the eggs while stirring constantly until blended.

Place the chopped pecans on the bottom of the uncooked pie crust and pour your mixture over the pecans.

Bake at 350 for 55 minutes. If your pie pan is thinner then bake for about 45 minutes.
I used a ceramic pie pan.
