bag, frozen whole strawberries

box, strawberry gelatin
strawberry juice from thawing and water to make 2 cups
1 - 9
inch prebaked crust
1 - 8
cool whip - or make your own whipped cream
1Have a 9 inch crust baked and cooled.
Drain your strawberries in a colander over a bowl.
2While the strawberries are still frozen, cut them into fourths. Save remaining juice to add with water, to make 2 cups, for use later..
3In a saucepan add gelatin, sugar and corn starch, stir to blend well.
4Once strawberries have thawed. Add the juice, (may not be a lot) and water, to measure 2 cups.
Slowly mix into the gelatin mixture in the pan. Bring to a boil, and continue cooking until thickened. About 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
5Once thickening is cool; fold in strawberries.
Pour thickened strawberry filling into prepared pie crust.
6Refrigerate 2 - 3 hours.
Add whipped cream before serving.
