I was given this recipe from an old Amish neighbor...she always shared her yummy recipes with me, and I was always glad to receive them...enjoy!

Ingredients

1/3 c
sugar - (i always add an extra 1/2 tablespoon )
2 tsp
all purpose flour
3 c
milk
3
eggs
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
vanilla extract
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
1
unbaked pie shell i cheated and used store bought - never again...lol

Step-By-Step

1Combine sugar, flour, salt and eggs, vanilla and mix until smooth.
2Heat milk to boiling point. Add 1 cup hot milk to egg mixture. Pour that into the remaining hot milk.
3Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle pie with nutmeg. Sometimes I use cinnamon.
4Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45-60 minutes.
