Ingredients For chocolate frozen dessert

1 pkg16 ounces chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed (about 1 3/4 cups)

1/2 cbutter, melted
-
1/2 galvanilla ice cream (in rectangular block)

2/3 cpecan pieces (optional)

chocolate sauce (below)
- FOR CHOCOLATE SAUCE

2 cpowdered sugar
-
1/2 cbutter
-
1 1/2 c12 ounce can evaporated milk

1 csemi sweet chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate frozen dessert

1In medium bowl, combine crushed cookies and butter. Press mixture onto bottom of 13x9x2 inch pan or two 8 inch square pans. Cut ice cream into 1/2 inch slices; place over crust. Cover; freeze 1-2 hours or until firm.

2Uncover pan(s); pour Chocolate Sauce over ice cream. Sprinkle pecan pieces over top, if desired. Cover; freeze until firm.

3For Chocolate Sauce: In medium saucepan, combine powdered sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and chocolate chips. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 8 minutes. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
