We all enjoy an oatmeal cookie! But have You tried toasting the oats in butter? By toasting the oats it adds a nutty flavor. Now You can add more nuts, or raisins but We decided to go with peanut butter chips & chocolate chips! What a great crispy nutty chocolatey cookie!!

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
rolled oats
1 1/2 stick
butter
3/4 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 c
brown sugar
2
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/4 c
chocolate chips
1/4 c
peanut butter chips

Step-By-Step

1In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter til slightly brown. Add oats stirring constantly til golden brown. About 8-10 min. Remove from heat and cool.
2In small bowl combine flour and baking soda and set aside.
In large mixing bowl add brown sugar eggs and vanilla and beat til light.
Combine dry ingredients, and mix in chips well.
Let sit for 15min.
3Drop rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 for 10min or til golden brown.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
